Renaming It Won't Change What It Is

This isn't the first time a company has renamed something to try to remove the negative connotation associated with it. But this time they're trying to do it with corn syrup.

If the change goes through, I'm afraid it will be perceived as more healthful--which is why it is so important to educate people. "A rose by any other name..." and all that.

What do you think?

The corn refiners asso.(CRA) anger me so much! They say sugar is sugar but it has been proven that HFCS metabolizes differently than regular cane sugar. The calories may be the same but it isn't always about calories it is about how the body processes the food. uggg. I know you know all this, but seriously I am so against the CRA and their marketing schemes!

yep I totally agree! Now we have to be even more careful to read labels to avoid this so called sugar. Not to mention that almost all corn (and soybeans) are genetically modified (GMO) and who knows what kind of damage that is doing to our bodies. We are avoiding it whenever possible!
